Program Overview

The Peaceful and Resilient Borderlands Programme (PRBP) is a regional initiative aimed at addressing the interconnected challenges facing borderland communities across the IGAD region. These communities continue to grapple with recurring conflict, climate-related shocks, weak governance systems, and socio-economic marginalization, all of which undermine stability, resilience, and sustainable development.
Through an integrated and conflict-sensitive approach, the programme seeks to reduce the impact of local conflicts while strengthening the resilience of communities living in border areas.
